Ready to install GhostBSD? Here's how to prepare your USB stick on various systems. Replace the device path (e.g.,Ā /dev/da0,Ā /dev/sdc) with your USB's actual path—check carefully to avoid overwriting the wrong drive!

On FreeBSD/GhostBSD sudo dd if=~/Downloads/GhostBSD-26.1-R15.0p2.iso of=/dev/da0 bs=4m conv=sync On Linux sudo dd if=~/Downloads/GhostBSD-26.1-R15.0p2.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=4M conv=sync; sync On macOS sudo dd if=~/Downloads/GhostBSD-26.1-R15.0p2.iso of=/dev/disk2 bs=10240 On Windows
  • Download and run the imaging tool, Rufus, from theĀ website.

  • Insert the USB flash drive.

  • Make sure the flash drive is shown in Rufus underĀ Device.

  • Click "SELECT" and choose the GhostBSD ISO file.

  • Click "START".
